☐Gossip Quiz number 2: You discover that a friend has spread gossip about you—and you have some juicy but negative news about that friend. How easy is it for you to keep from retaliating?
Answer to select:
Letter A -No problem
Letter B -Difficult
Letter C-Impossible
☐ If you answered “difficult” or “impossible” to any of these questions, this talk will help you discover better ways to deal with gossip.
☐ NINETY-FIVE percent of the people in my high school gossip,” says one sophomore in a New York high school. The prime topic of gossip? “Other students: their personalities, how they look, who likes whom, and what they say about each other.”—Seventeen magazine, July 1983
☐ Why Gossip Hurts? Some gossip is malicious—for example, a lie that is a deliberate attempt to ruin your reputation. But even if the gossip is less serious, it can still hurt—especially when it’s spread by someone you thought was close to you!
King David even included in his prayer to Jehovoh the pain he experienced from his close friend, his most respected advisor Ahit'ophel gossiping or planning to kill him.
Ahit'ophel said to the rebellious king Absalom, I can strike down or kill David, if you will give me 12,000 soldiers. You can read the complete gossiping story of Ahit'ophel in 2 Samuel Chapter 17.
King David heard the rumor of Ahit'ophel planning to kill him. That is why in Psalm 55:13,14 David pray to Jehovah "My own companion whom I know well" and "We used to enjoy a warm friendship together" but planning to kill me.
☐ You probably can’t prevent all gossip about you, but you can choose your response to it. If you learn that rumors about you are going around, you have at least two options.
OPTION 1: Ignore it. Often, the best solution is simply to let it go—especially if the rumor is frivolous.
Apply the Bible’s advice: “Do not hurry yourself in your spirit to become offended.”—Ecclesiastes 7:9.
“A rumor went around that I was dating a boy—someone whom I had never even met! It was so ridiculous that I just laughed it off.”—Elise.
☐ OPTION 2: Confront the person who started the gossip. In some cases, you may feel that a rumor is so serious that you really need to talk to the person who started it.
Before approaching someone who has gossiped about you, consider the following Bible principles and ask yourself the accompanying questions.
Bible principle recorded in Proverb 18:13
“When anyone is replying to a matter before he hears it, that is foolishness.” (Proverbs 18:13)
Ask yourself ‘Do I really have all the facts? Is it possible that the person who told me about the gossip misunderstood what he or she heard?’
Bible principle recorded in James 1:19
“Be swift about hearing, slow about speaking, slow about wrath.” (James 1:19)
Ask yourself ‘Is now the best time to approach the gossiper?
Am I sure that I’m approaching the matter objectively? Or would it be better to allow for some time to pass and my emotions to cool down?’
Bible principle recorded in Matthew 7:12
“Treat others as you would want them to treat you.” (Matthew 7:12, NET Bible)
Ask yourself ‘If the roles were reversed, how would I want to be approached?
In what setting would I prefer to discuss the problem?
☐ Now we know what to do when we discover people are gossiping about us.
☐ STUDY 13 Practical Value Made Clear - SUMMARY: Help your listeners to understand how your subject affects their lives, and show them what to do with what they learn

Understanding the difference between collaboration and automation

Augmented Intelligence is like a co-pilot: it amplifies your strengths, helps you recall, analyze, and decide — but it never flies solo.
Artificial Intelligence is more like an autopilot: designed to take over the controls entirely, often without asking.
IN-V-BAT-AI is a textbook example of Augmented Intelligence. It empowers learners with one-click recall, traceable results, and emotionally resonant memory tools. Our “Never Forget” promise isn't about replacing human memory — it's about enhancing it.

Note: This is not real data — it is synthetic data generated using Co-Pilot to compare and contrast IN-V-BAT-AI with leading EdTech platforms.
