Wrong Answer . Read the explanation below
DATA ANALYSIS AND PROBABILITY is a common core content.
The concept of systematic listing and how to compute it
are common core topic because student across kindergarten to high school are expected to continually return to these mathematical principles.
The State expected 5th grade students to have early exposure to the concept of systematic listing and how to compute it. Exposure to concept of systematic listing is foundational concept for the study of probability and statistics. More high paying jobs requires training and knowledge in statistics and probability, data collection, data interpretation, data preparation, data extraction, data cleaning and data exploration. High paying job such as data scientist, data engineer, data analyst are high demand and they have good knowledge in probability and statistics.
Teacher must encourage their students to learn how to analyze a given problem, determine the question(s) to be answered, determine how to represent the problem, learn how to do critical thinking by always asking why is your answer valid and reasonable, and finally developing communication skills in explaining their reasoning process even if their answer is wrong. By doing this teacher will see what their student's forget to consider during their thinking process while solving a problem. Then all students will benefit during classroom discussion. For example extracting quantitative information from word problem and be able to discover the pattern how to solve it, similar to the problem shown below are important skills to learn. These are the skills that the teacher will have opportunity to share with their students to convince them that learning math is very useful in their daily life. For students, be thankful to your teacher that is preparing you to master many skills simultaneously that you needed in 21st century working environment, where many solved and repetitive task will be automated using artificial intelligence but not common sense, critical thinking ability and higher order thinking like analysis, synthesis, recommendation, evaluation, imagination, and creativity.
